Solitude Links Wedding
A custom made banner hung between the kitchen and the living room of Nicole’s parents home. It was the first photo that I captured on this beautiful summer day. Nicole & Kyle, it was their wedding day. Tiffany blue was the color of the day. I could be found in the bridesmaids nightgowns, the paper plates, bridesmaids dresses, the makeup mirrors, and even Nicole’s purse. It was just enough tiffany blue to create a theme. The mood was a nervous excitement with a hint of joy as the girls were prepped with makeup and hair. At one point the bridesmaids practiced their “single ladies” dance in the living room and they had it down pat. They’d been practicing and it showed. Nicole’s flowers arrived and they were the perfect yellow sunflower compliment to the colors of the day. I was able to visit Kyle’s parents home to capture some of the getting ready there, and the mood was the same nervous joyous excitement. These two were ready to get married and it showed.
Solitude Links in Kimball Michigan was the setting for the ceremony and reception where the sun was shining but not too warm. Just right for an outdoor wedding. With both cameras at the ready I witnessed Kyle’s face as Nicole came down the aisle with her father at her side. The rings were passed around the crowd as a blessing before they were placed on each others fingers. You may kiss the bride. Kyle placed his hands on Nicole’s face and kissed her for what seemed like an eternity. It was beautiful. The rest of the night was all smiles and fun and these images are just some of the story captured on this day.
