Nikki and Paul were married yesterday in Livonia Michigan and it was all kinds of awesome. I had the honor of following them during one of the most important days in their lives together. The entire day was beautiful. I laughed when the groomsmen performed a choreographed dance number, cried when Nikki and Paul exchanged vows, and I can’t remember how many high fives I gave throughout the day. We went to Heritage park in Farmington for some fun formal photos. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the photos captured yesterday.

Here’s another photo from Joe and Kate’s wedding in Oxford Michigan last month. The whole day was beautiful including the morning before it all began. I think my journal entry for that morning tells how I was feeling and ultimately how wonderful the day was.

7/17/2010 Today I get to tell a story

Or rather, today I get to watch a story be told. Through the lens of the camera I’ll witness the day that these two, Kate and Joe, begin their lives together as husband and wife. The day will be a blur to both me and to them. The whole time I’ll have a perspective that they have not seen, but they have seen it. Just in a different way. I’ll get to show them later some of the things’ they remember vividly, some of the things they already forgot, and some of the things that they never saw but wanted to. I’ll capture the smiles and the tears, I’ll capture moments in time, and I’ll capture works of art that only I had imagined for them.

Today I get to tell, witness, and be a part of a beautiful story. The story of a wedding, and the first day for Kate and Joe as husband and wife.

What a wonderful day Amanda and Justin had for their wedding.  The weather finally cooperated for them and the outdoor ceremony took place among family and friends.  It was truly a beautiful moment to photograph.  I smiled a lot during the ceremony, and it was a complete honor to be there for them.  You can read more about their story on their engagement session, so for now here are some images captured yesterday.

Yesterday I had the complete privilege of capturing the story for Jamie and Steve’s wedding day. It was a beautiful day beginning with nervousness, excitement, and ending with complete joy and glee.  The weather in Metamora played nice for us and the rain stopped every time we needed it to.  Jamie and Steve, it was an honor to be there for you yesterday and these are just a few of the beautiful things I saw through the camera lens yesterday.

Thomas Lester: Nicely done!

I stopped by the rehearsal yesterday for Jamie and Steve’s wedding.  Here’s their dog Finney sitting camly while the rehearsal was going on.  I’ve been looking forward to their wedding for a long time and I’m excited for today, going through my morning wedding rituals, and ready to tell the story through my camera.
